Water makes up the major part of our body. Our liquid intake varies from time to time but on a daily basis, it remains the same. Mostly it starts with coffee or tea and ends with beer or wine but in between these, whenever we are thirsty and cannot find a bottle of water we simply grab a soda. But the real question here is it the healthy thing to do? Well, if you ask me; no it certainly is not. But again most of the drinks that we take in are not healthy. So, what can be done? We cannot avoid it completely as that is not possible but we can replace them.

Here are some healthy ways to replace our daily drinks:

Replace Carbonated and Alcoholic Drinks

Carbonated drinks or sodas and alcohol have become a large part of our lifestyle. These drinks have become the most consumed beverage on any occasion be it parties or simply depending on our mood. These drinks may lighten your mood, but did you know these drinks aggravate our doshas as well as increase the toxin content of our body which is the reason for many health problems. Try replacing these drinks with much healthy ones like juices, ice tea, smoothies etc.

Replace Ice-cold Water

It is a very common habit of most to drink cold water during or after meals or even as thirst quenchers. Drinking ice-cold water along with your meals would slow down the digestion process of your system, thus reducing the blood flow which slows down the digestive enzyme, impeding proper digestion. Hence, replacing cold water with lukewarm water would be extremely good for your health as it would keep your body hydrated as well as flush out the impurities from your body.

Replace Caffeinated Drinks

Caffeinated drinks may give you that instant energy to go through a stressful day but they not good for health in the long run. Replacing them with Ayurvedic teas would be a lot more beneficial and this is also the most suggested beverage by the health gurus. Ayurvedic teas contain antioxidants and herbs which would rejuvenate your system and benefit your health while helping reduce your craving for caffeine over time.
