BRONZE KANSAS MEDIUM - PLEASE CHECK DIMENSIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE ORDERING. -- These KANSAS are crafted from wood and bronze. They are used in traditional Indian massage for treating back, foot & body pain. Ghee is traditionally massaged into the skin using the Kansa. Kansa massage removes body heat & provides relief of muscular tension. These Kansas are made of seasoned wood and high-quality bronze, an alloy of tin & copper. According to Ayurveda copper benefits the eyes, hair & heart while tin helps balance digestion & sleep patterns. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Each Kansa is hand finished & unique. The bronze caps are hand-cast & will vary in finish & shape. The wood handles are hand-turned & will vary in shaping, finishing, etc. The handles are hand stained & the color may be either darker or lighter than shown in the photo. The handles come in opaque & natural brown finishes. IF YOU ORDER MULTPLE KANSAS OR "SETS" YOU MAY RECEIVE A MIX OF HANDLE-COLOR FINISHES. THE HANDLE COLOR OF THE KANSAS YOU RECEIVE WILL BE RANDOMLY CHOSEN UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED & AGREED UPON PRIOR TO SHIPPING. Please note that bronze tarnishes when in contact with the air & the bronze cap may have spots of tarnish on it when it arrives. Tarnish marks & rough spots can be polished out with powdered metal polish to return the bronze to its original lustre. When using the kansa, the oil may darken, and appear to leave dark marks, due to the effect of expelled toxins and inner heat. These are easily removed.
